Letsip ® K5 (65mm wide) trains and stimulates the tongue by moving the ball.

- Training for the tongue with a 10mm ball.

-Train the tongue where it is used, into the mouth

-Practice lifting the tip of the tongue up inside the mouth (for the sounds r, l, n, d, and t).

- Practice lateral movement of the tongue.

-Exercise the back of the tongue.

-Train to cross the midline with the tongue.

-Train precision. (vowels and the fricative sounds S and Sj need a finely coordinated tongue)

-Train speed and agility.

The motor and sensory function of the tongue can be improved by training.
Exercises that are particularly important to practice are lifting the tip of the tongue,
and training to get the tongue to move out to the sides into the mouth.

The Letsip ® K series can be suitable for children with articulation difficulties, where the child does not benefit from regular pronunciation training. There may be children with dyspraxia, sensory challenges, fronting/backing problems.

It is important to look at the tongue's prerequisites for optimal eating, drinking, kneading and chewing with the jaws.

The opening in the tool for Letsip®

The K series facilitates observation of tongue movement. They are easy to place between the lips and teeth and do not give the feeling of not being able to breathe. Many mouth breathers train more easily with the Letsip® products, as the openings allow them to breathe with their mouth when they want to.

Adults

For adults who have challenges with;

- strength, power, precision and sensibility

- difficulty with clear speech, with eating and drinking after general little exercise of muscles after diseases such as stroke , parkinson's, MS and neurological diseases etc.

- Maintenance training.

- Practice lateral movement of the tongue

- Practice the fine motor skills of the tongue.

-Practice the tongue to move to different positions.

-Coordination of movements.

Increased tongue activity can provide a better taste experience and increased appetite.

Fine coordination of muscles and movements in the mouth.

Children and young people

For children and young people who have challenges with:

- to control the tongue for speaking, eating or drinking.

-train the tongue's abilities to move and process food when eating.

- train the tongue's ability to control movements to produce the right sound in the right place.

-Train lateral movement of the tongue (immature primitive movements).

-Practice the tongue to move to different positions.

-Train your tongue together with sound.

- Practice the fine motor skills of the tongue.

-Train your tongue to break with primitive movements.

-Fine coordination of muscles and movements in the mouth.

If it is difficult to move the tongue from side to side, it must be checked whether the user has good jaw stability. Support with the hand under or on the chin often helps to stabilize the jaw so that the tongue can have the best possible motor flexibility.

The Letsip ® K series can be used by everyone in an individual training program to increase resilience and speed with the tongue.

NB: The ball is large and heavy, and it must therefore be used with care so that it does not damage the teeth.

The Letsip ® products are based on general research into motor learning, sensory stimulation, strength and movement training.
