Health:

Letsip Norway AS sells products for children and adults who, for various reasons, have paralysis, abnormal development or sensory impairments in the face. With more than 20 years' work experience as a speech therapist in rehabilitation/habilitation, Founder Bjarte Høydal has developed training tools for stroke patients and others with facial paralysis. Letsip products contribute to a stronger and more active upper lip/cheek, better mouth closure, less drooling, less snoring, better drinking, eating and sucking function and clearer speech and better facial expressions. Such training is important for users with diagnoses such as Down's syndrome, CP, cleft lip, jaw, palate, dyspraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, Parkinson's and for stroke patients. They are designed so that the user can breathe through the mouth while in use. At the same time, it is easy for the practitioner to see how the tongue moves.

Skin:

The muscles in the face are similar to other striated muscles in the body, and by comparing different training techniques from strength training and traditional physiotherapy, this has led to 16 different products for training the face. In a pilot project in collaboration with SINTEF Ålesund, it has been demonstrated that the muscles in the face can be trained. The Letsip Face Fitness method provides better muscle control, mobility and endurance. In collaboration with Oslo Hudpleieklinikk, a test group and measurements with VISIA 3D Skin Analysis were set up, which after a few weeks showed startling results with the training method.

Bjarte Høydal, founder and speech therapist - Exercising the face for six minutes daily with Letsip Face Fitness can reduce wrinkles within a few weeks and give the skin a natural lift with more elasticity and glow in a natural way, says hospital speech therapist and Letsip founder Høydal.

Research project with Sintef (2019) show indications that training provides:

● better muscle control
● better mobility
● better endurance

Letsip tongue depressor has a straw mouthpiece that pacifies the tongue's rigid movements. The straw helps the user to suck in the right way. The straw can be used from 7-9 months and upwards until adulthood. The mouthpiece can be adapted to smoothie bags sold in various grocery stores.

Letsip S series available in five different sizes. The products train mouth closing, stimulate the cheeks and all muscles attached to the lip muscles (m. orbicularis oris). The user must hold the product between the teeth and lip for 20 minutes, and start with the largest size before gradually scaling down to the smallest product.

Letsip K series consists of five products. These are extra large training aids that provide a good grip with the tongue. They are sensory easier to feel for the tongue.

Letsip V series has six variants. They are used as stimulation pens in Orofacial regulation therapy, and can be used with lighter pressure than the other products. The muscles of the tongue are stimulated by pulling the tongue into and into the back of the mouth. The strong sonic vibration goes deep into the muscles, and gives increased activity if rapid changes are made in the sonic impulses.

All products are approved by NAV and CE certified and have been offered to this target group since 2016.
