For whom:
The course is for anyone who wants to learn more about training and stimulating facial muscles in children or adults with congenital or acquired difficulties. No prior knowledge is required, so everyone is welcome.

Together with SINTEF Ålesund, Letsip has carried out a preliminary project where training and stimulation of the facial muscles indicates better muscle control, better mobility and endurance.

It turns out that the importance of starting training as early as possible will be decisive in order to maintain the best possible functionality and avoid abnormal development or compensatory techniques.

Individual mapping of the single is important.

Learn mapping methods for use on children and adults, learn how to set up a training program in relation to the individual's needs.

Learn to train and stimulate prerequisites for eating and speaking.

Lips, cheeks and tongue are also important for good oral hygiene, facial expressions, skin quality, sensitivity and for not drooling.

11.30-12.15 Investigation and measures

12.15-12.45: Lunch break, Simple lunch included.
12.45-13.30 Practical approach with training and stimulation .

13.30-14.15 Acquired difficulties and neurological outcomes

14.15-15.00 Practical testing and guidance with Letsip and Exorlive

It is not possible to select only parts of the course as the program overlaps and therefore follow the entire lecture.

In recent years, Høydal has held more than 50 courses across the country for stroke patients, relatives, parents, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, special educators, assistants etc.

Through my own practice as a special education teacher and speech therapist, the focus has been on children and adults with acquired and congenital difficulties.

Høydal had a personal meeting with the Argentinian specialist in neurological rehabilitation, Prof. Dr. Rudolfo Castillo Morales in 1997. This meeting gave inspiration and the seed for the desire to develop new products and aids to better stimulate and train these muscles with resistance. In collaboration with, among others, Lovisenberg Hospital and the TAKO centre, many ideas were created to be able to train and stimulate the muscles in the cheeks, lips and tongue. Høydal is also associated with Ålesund Hospital, which has given him extensive experience with aphasia, swallowing difficulties and facial paresis. In the past year, he has also collaborated with Oslo Hudpleie klinikk where the focus is training the muscles in the face has a positive impact on the skin-improving treatments, such as less sinful wrinkles and pores and improvement of skin quality.
